The HKD10 Orion is a kinetic machine gun used by the Arm of Orion and its ally the Orion's Spear.
History

The HKD10 came into service after the Arm managed to salvage a USIF R-KMG5, an older model of the Ripsaw machine gun, from the battlezone and reverse-engineer it for their own needs.
After the Outer Rim War, the HKD10 underwent significant improvements following the Arm of Orion's defeat.
DesignEdit
Fitted with a large magazine capacity and high rate of fire, the Orion excels in multiple-threat engagements.
Unlike its counterpart, the HKD10 does not feature picatinny rails which severely reduces its versatility, but instead features advanced optics. It also features one massive nitrogen-cooled barrel and a small front hand grip. Just like its counterpart the Ripsaw, it features a side-mounted battery magazine design.
The Orion fires a massive 18x51mm rail-propelled armor piercing slug similar to the Ripsaw. The rounds are also equipped with the Mk2 electromagnetic jacketing (EMJ) system, making them extremely efficient at cutting through shields, armor, and flesh alike.
UpgradeEdit
Newer models retain the same basic features like similar rounds, rail propulsion, and MK2 electromagnetic system found in the rounds, but feature several changes to its ammunition feed and cooling systems, in addition to a more stable nitrogen cooling system. Notably, it now uses an older box magazine ammo system instead of the cylindrical battery clips found in older Orion models.
